Welcome to our guide on how to properly wash your merino wool garments. Follow these steps to ensure your wool garment stay beautiful and soft for a long time.
Hand Wash
We recommend hand washing your wool garments to best preserve the quality of the material. Follow these easy steps:

Soak: Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a small amount of wool detergent. Soak your garment for 10-15 minutes.

Rinse: Gently rinse the garment in lukewarm water until all the soap is out. Avoid wringing or pulling the material.

Squeeze: Gently squeeze the water out of the garment without wringing it. Optionally lay it flat on a towel and roll the towel up to press out excess water.

Dry on a hanger: Hang your garment on a wide hanger or lay it flat on a dry towel to dry. Gently stretch the garment into shape while it is still damp.
Machine Wash
If your wool garments are very dirty, you can wash them in the washing machine. Follow these steps to ensure a gentle wash.
- Use a laundry bag: Place your garment in a laundry bag to protect them during the wash. Find our laundry bags here.
- Wool detergent: Always use a specialized wool detergent. We recommend, that you use a Lanolin based washing detergent.
- Select gentle cycle: Choose a gentle wash cycle and wool program. Recommended temperature is 30-40°C (86-104°F)
- Dry on a hanger: Hang your wool t-shirt on a wide hanger or lay the garment flat on a dry towel to dry.
- Stretch into shape: Gently stretch the garments into shape while it is still damp to maintain its fit.
Socks and Underwear
We recommend washing our wool socks and wool underwear at 40 degrees Celsius, but they can be washed at up to 60 degrees Celsius.
IMPORTANT: Wash the socks before use to prolong the life of the socks and avoid lint.
